My favorite day at the beach...

This is a type of eucalyptus tree. It gets very big and it has tons of branches that aren't stiff like the ones back home. The bark peels off and eventually the tree is smooth.

There are plants and birds everywhere! The birds are SO LOUD they keep me up at night and wake me up in the morning!

This is me in my lounge chair at the pool. I've read Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Double Down almost three times!

This is Everly crossing one of the bridges by our condo. Almost every swamp in the part of Australia has crocodiles in them so we can't go in that water or swim in unpatrolled areas.

This is the bay outside of our condo where we walk to dinner. We ate calamari, which is squid that is fried. I love it!!! It's been my favorite since I was 7.

More crocodile signs. They have these where the waterways enter the beach. The signs also represent no swimming.

This is the bridge that we crossed to the ocean from our condo. We also saw thousands of little tiny holes under the bridge where crabs live.

This is a giant cockatoo! It's a very large type of parrot. These flew around all day and came to the trees outside of our condo in the evening and they would caw and caw SO LOUD. These ones were almost 2 feet tall!

These are rainbow parrots. They are a little bit smaller and not quite as loud as the cockatoo.

  1. Wow thanks for all the information Parker. I remember reading before our family trip to South Carolina and Georgia about alligators, and how the dangerous crocodiles lived in Australia. Did you get to see any swim by when you were on the bridge? That cockatoo looked pretty amazing. Sorry they keep you up at night. I also realized I haven't seen you face to face with your braces, great smile:)
